On June 30 at 7:30 pm, L’Iber, Museo de los soldaditos de plomo hosts the presentation of Acrópolis, the new book by writer and historian Antonio Penadés, published by Almuzara.
With this book, which can be read independently, Antonio Penadés closes the trilogy he began with Tras las huellas de Heródoto and continued with Viaje a la Grecia clásica, a literary and historical journey through the Greek world. Acrópolis takes the reader from Thessaloniki to Athens following in the footsteps of the Irish traveler Edward Dodwell, stopping at the settings of the Greco-Persian Wars — Marathon, Salamis, Plataea — before culminating at the Acropolis of Athens. There, the author reflects on the legacy of Greek civilization, heritage conservation, and the debate surrounding the Parthenon Marbles.
The presentation will feature Antonio Penadés himself and Alejandro Noguera Borel, director of L’Iber, Museo de los soldaditos de plomo.
