You will be able to access our workshops to restore or paint historical miniatures, creating dioramas and vehicles.
You can volunteer by helping with activities, overseeing security, filming events, taking photographs or coordinating events.
You can also volunteer by supporting the digital outreach of the Museo L’Iber’s work on social media and other internet and communication channels.

Montserrat Amorós Coderch
Volunteer · Cultural event organisation
Graduate in Philosophy and Arts (Universitat de Barcelona), with a postgraduate qualification in Adult Education Engineering (UPC) and a Master’s in Management and Administration of Educational Centres (UB). She has built her career as a coordinator and pedagogical advisor at the Generalitat de Catalunya. Founder and director of the University of the Third Age of Alto Palancia (Jérica, Castellón), a private lifelong-learning institution for older adults, and a member of the Board of Directors of AIUTA (International Association of Universities of the Third Age) since 2005. She works with the Museo L’Iber on the organisation of cultural events.
Josep Asensi
Volunteer · Speaker and Keeper of the sealed entries for the Museo L’Iber Short Story Competition
Josep Asensi (Benetússer, 1967) is a specialist in diagnostic radiology and a writer. A graduate in Medicine from the Universitat de València (1991), with a Master’s in Mastology (1997), a Specialist qualification in Surgery (1997), a cum laude Doctorate in Medicine (1998) and a specialism in diagnostic radiology (2012), he currently practises clinically in breast cancer diagnosis at the Fundación Instituto Valenciano de Oncología (IVO).
A contributor to the Fundación Libertas 7 for more than fifteen years, he takes part in the Museo L’Iber by giving talks and courses, and is a regular organiser and judge of the Short Story Competition — although, naturally, not in the years he himself won a prize: second prize in 2012 with Un poema y un error, a special mention in 2014 with Dulces soldaditos, and first prize in 2015 with La otra mejilla. He is one of the principal patrons of the Fundación Libertas 7 and regularly gives talks on the Bronze Age at various cultural institutions.
As a writer, he published his first novel, Layos (Ed. Evohé), in 2009, set in Mycenaean Thebes in the 14th century BC. Since then he has published stories in more than fifteen collective anthologies (Ed. Evohé, Traspíes, Generación Bibliocafé, Ed. Babylon, Ed. Vinatea, Museo L’Iber) and is working on a second novel.

Maurizio Corona
Volunteer · Co-author of La storia in miniatura
One of Italy’s most prestigious notaries and a passionate enthusiast of historical miniatures, Maurizio Corona has published numerous articles on the world of miniatures and is co-author of La storia in miniatura / La historia en miniatura (Akademeia, 2020), a 406-page bilingual Italian-Spanish work that traces the military, political and cultural history of humanity through the museum’s one hundred thousand figures. The book grew out of joint work with Alejandro Noguera Borel, combining historical rigour with the vividness of reportage to turn the museum’s collection into an accessible and visually stunning narrative.
Carlos Micó Tonda

An archaeologist and naturalist (Valencia, 1992), Carlos Micó Tonda works as an anthropological and archaeological guide in Africa, an underwater archaeologist and a documentary-maker specialising in the cultures of Namibia and Cameroon. He teaches the Museo L’Iber’s course on the History of Africa, where he also presented the talk «África, historia negada», a journey through the great pre-colonial civilisations: the empires of Ghana, Mali and Songhai, the kingdom of Aksum and the trading cities of the Swahili coast. His work combines field research with historical outreach and documentary production.
Alejandro Mohorte Medina
Researcher and speaker
A member of the Asociación de Amigos del Museo Histórico Militar de Valencia and of the Club de Amigos del Museo de l’Iber. A researcher specialising in Spanish military history of the 18th–20th centuries, with articles and talks on the Peninsular War, the Napoleonic Wars and the contemporary period. His work includes notable studies on the Philippines campaign, the image of women in the Spanish army, the Battle of Bailén and Valencia in 1800. He has also taken part in conferences on uniformology and contemporary military history.
Agnès Noguera Borel

A graduate in Law and Art History from the Universitat de València and a Financial Analyst, Agnès Noguera Borel has been Chief Executive Officer of Libertas 7 S.A. since 2005 and a trustee of the Fundación Libertas 7 since its founding. She is vice-president of AVE (the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs) and works with ETNOR (business ethics). As a regular speaker at the Museo L’Iber, she contributes to the promotion of history and cultural heritage.
Antonio Penadés Chust

A journalist and jurist (Valencia, 1970), Antonio Penadés Chust directed the Museo L’Iber’s Narrative Writing course from 2005 to 2018, and has taught the History of Greece course since 2024. He contributes to El País, Historia National Geographic and Descubrir el Arte, and is the author of the novel El hombre de Esparta (Edhasa) and of the essays El declive de Atenas (RBA), La gesta de las Termópilas (Gredos) and Viaje a la Grecia clásica (Almuzara, 2020), awarded the 2021 Valencian Literary Criticism Prize for Essay. He is also president of Acción Cívica, an organisation dedicated to the defence of the humanities.
